Quick Tip To Allow Pop Ups One Time
Most pop up blocker programs allow you to hold down the ctrl key on your keyboard while clicking a link, to allow a pop up one time. This comes in very handy when you want to allow a pop up at that site one time only.

Allowing Pop Ups For Specific Programs

  • Internet Explorer
If you have a new version of Internet Explorer, it comes with a pop up blocker. To change your settings select "tools" from the menu at the top, then "Pop Up Blocker", then "Pop Up Blocker Settings". There you can add Web sites to always allow pop ups or change the intensity of the pop up blocker.
  • FireFox Browser
Select "Tools" from the menu at the top then "Options". Select the "Content" icon at the top of the window. Here you can turn off the pop up blocker or add allowed sites.
  • Google Toolbar
When a pop up is blocked you will get a notification line towards the top of the window. Click it for options to allow the pop up one time or always allow them at that site.
  • Your ISP
Some Internet Service Providers such as AOL have pop up blocking ability built in. You will need to check the support/help files to determine how to bypass the pop up blocker.
  • Pop Up Blocking Programs
If you are using a program that includes pop up blocking you will need to check the program documentation to find out how to adjust the settings. Just open the program and look for pop up blocking. If necessary, go to the help file and search for pop up blocking.
