Jenny Carden

Jenny Carden has been in love with mosaics ever since she saw the work of Jim Power on the streets of New York City. She started installing public mosaics in Los Angeles, where she put up sidewalk stars for everyday people on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and on Melrose Avenue. In addition to managing the Parks to People mosaic project at the Riverside Center, she aquired computers, wrote grants and taught computer skills to residents of Lincoln Heights at the Project Blessings for Hurting Parents Center. After the mosaic project in Washington DC, she moved to Argentina where she runs a small webdesign company. She has continued making small mosaic pieces, but also has been experimenting with stencil work. In 2006 she made a stencil exchange site for the Chicago artist's Version Fest.
